I came over here with every intention of updating this journal with posts from LJ. But now I am FAR too lazy to copy and post a few weeks worth of posts onto GJ.
So here's the quick and (really) dirty
I am in the middle of a pretty painful divorce. You'll have to check out my LJ (same username) for details but suffice it to say I am at the bottom of the barrel self esteem wise. The man I love is in love with someone else. I moved out of my home in PA, away from my kids and pets back to NYC to sleep on my boss/friend's couch and work at her new nursery school.
I miss my kids and my pets very, very, very much.
I just joined a gym and hope to regain my figure and find my way in a life now foreign.
Join me for the journey - or just visit to point and laugh ;)

I got a tip at work today! This sweet old lady who comes in for copies now and again tipped me $2 on a $5 copy job. She loves the way the color copies can do such a good job and always says at her age technology amazes her :) When I said "Ooops you gave me too much money", she smiled and said "I know".
What a cutie.
Oh and I weighed in at under 150 for the first time in ages!

Howdy all!
NYE was pretty kewl. My only regret is that I started drinking earliesh and hence fell asleep close to 2am - waaaay before the party wound down. We partied at my pal/ex-bosses space that'll be a new nursery school soon. The space is huge and will be sooooo much nicer than the old space we worked at. There was like 200 plus people there and TONS of booze LOL I never did get a sip of champagne though
The last few days before NYE I got to spend a few days hanging with my sis hms_harmony and the rents. I came into the city a few days early to help my pal with her financials. Twas very cool. I got to indulge my craving for GOOD sushi and pizza and hang out with my family for a while.
I scored some really sweet prezzies for XMas. I got 3 pairs of cute PJs (2 from my family and 1 from the inlaws), a yummy collection of flavored coffees, fun toe-socks, cute slippers, season 3 of Arrested Development, black knee socks, a cute kitten pic frame, and a kitten statue. My parents bought a chewy bone for Jett and a catnip mouse for Ginger plus the kids scored some cash. Cash is nice :D
I'm really happy to report that Buddy's owner located us via the flyers we hung up. Buddy or Buster as he is actually named is now safe at home with his family who was thrilled to have him back.
Haven't formally done up my resolutions or even started them yet but I will....soon...really!
Now that we've joined the library near our house I've gone back to reading. Just before we moved I kinda lost interest in reading, stopped reading right in the middle of a pretty good book. I wasn't really in a place to concentrate on much. Now I've read a few new books and am actively looking for a book club to join. An online one might be best.
Well Aunt Flo stopped by today so I'm feeling crampy, tired and achey all over. Wheeee! Plus my neice managed to use up pretty much my whole stash of pads when she visited last - grrrrrr Tonight I'll be taking a cure of mindless, fun reading and cuddles with my puppy.
Oh it's been crazy warm here as of late. Today was 65 degrees and saw me taking Jett for a walk in a sweater and tee shirt. Wacky.

I've been listening to that song a lot lately. Is it weird that my new fave song of the moment id from a cartoon movie?LOL I've been listening to Cosmic Castaway by Electrasy from the movie Titan A.E. lately over and over again. Especially while I'm working out :)
I've been working out according to the BFL recommendations lately and doing my Three Day Diet every week so cool; weight loss for me!
Tomorrow my bosses are leaving early and then a few hours later we get to close the store - coolness! What's not cool is that I still have no assignment for next week. My old boss at the nursery school just fired her assistant so I might get lucky and have a few days of freelance work next week. Which means I'll be in the city which means I get to see the ever lurvely hms_harmony
Anywho work has been crazy busy. So crazy that sometimes I don't get to cram lunch down until 3ish. Lately though I'm wondering if I'm working hard but not smart. I mean I'm working my butt off trying to impress my bosses. And I think they are. Even the woman who I wasn;t so sure abiut seems to like me but... where is this getting me? I mean it's not like I'm going to be made partner in the store. I guess they might hire me but in the long run it's not where I want to be. Well if I keep up with working out and eating clean (cleanish till the holiday season is over) I'll get to my goal and be a Personal Trainer.
Well that's all for now. I have a week off (maybe) soon so look forward to more from me ;)

he he he I'm driving everyone craaaazy by breaking into "CockY by Kid Rock loudly, off tune and repetively. I are the devil incarnate.
So what's new with me? Nada mucho.
We're working getting the kids in school here. It's a trying experience since it requires trying to get people from schools ion 2 states on the phone. Hopefully they will be in school soon!
I are FAT! Ugh! I went shopping at the Salvation Army near me for some nice-ish work clothes and ....wahhhhhh! Nothing makes you feel fatter than a dressing room. Course since I've been a) eating what I want when I want it, b) not exercising and c) drinking a bit - that shouldn't come as a surprise. But...still...MAN! I haven't weighed myself mostly because I'm chicken but I did get myself a bunch of low cal lunch options for work (cheap too - a Lean Gourmet meal at Walmart is $1.06!!) and exercised for the first time in weeks tonight.
I got a new dog. A dalmation puppy and I named her Maggie! No not IRL silly! LOL On Neopets my new found again joy! LOL My husband kuuuuuuu-illll me if I even thought of getting a new dog when we have Jett the chewy, half housetrained wonder pup to take care of LOL Though I did see the schweetest lil mixed breed online and get all mushy eyed he he
Work continues. It's busier now that I am working on appointments for a new terminal but it's work and not very interesting.
Well that's all fro now. I'm crampy and eagerly awaiting tonight's season premiere of Nip/Tuck so I'm off!

No not really LOl Not even Pennsylvanian really LOL
Things over
here are getting better. I was offered a position as a part time floral
associate at a nearby supermarket. Franz was offered an overnight stock
position. I was glad to get something but not happy about the salary.
It was a 20 hr position for $6.25 and hour and that was after the
Manager saw my resume and decided to waive the 90 days it would have
taken me to go from starting of $5.75 an hour up to $6.25. Luckily for
me a few days before I was scheduled tostart I was offered a temp
position from the agency I had signed up with. It's a 4 week position
(yeah that does me nervous) for a trucking company. I am on the phone
most of the day making delivery appts. It pays 10 bux an hr and is 40
hrs a week - sweet. The hours are not as sweet - 7:30am to 4pm.
Yikes! It's close by though - maybe a 15 min. drive which is close.
Sucks that I can't drive yet though. I can wait to learn to drive and
get licensed.
We just had our first BBQ last night. Franz's
friends from NYC came in and we invited the neighbors. Everything went
great! The food was plentiful and good. His friends were very impressed
with the house and had fun BBQing lottsa meat and chatting with the
neighbor. It rained off and on though so we BBQed on the deck and
mostly ate inside. My neighbor brought her dog over for a bit to play
with Jett so he was happy. Plus he managed to steal a steak off of a
serving platter and gobble it up LOL Doggy heaven! We're hoping
Franz's friend John will consider getting a home here. He's got 2
little girls and lives in a smallish apt in Bayside. Over here he could
get a very sweet home for a sweet price. (OK really could I use the
word sweet ANY more!)
Yesterday, Franz scored a Smith machine
(really nice wight bench) for $40 off of Craig's List. I can't wait
till we get it set up in the basement. We've been very, very lucky so
far with the house. Franz's aunts gave us lots of stuff. SO far they
gave us a roll top desk, for our room, glass desk for the PC in the
family room, queen sized bed for us, end table, lovely little glass
table and chairs for the brekky nook, cute lil cabinet for the
bathroom, some dishes and a cool huge wardrobe so I can finally get my
stuff organized. Plus Wilby (Franz's dad) bought a very nice dining
room set that seats 8 for about 800 bux. It's really pretty. So we're
working, have stuff and live in a nice home. Things are looking up.
You'd
think I'd be over the moon right? Yeah sure. I always seem to find
something to be anxious about. Right now the puppy and driving are
behind most of my anxiety. I spend all day worrying about Jett. I'm
always afriad he'll get loose and get hurt or just get sick. Every
time he moves toward the door I jump like a nervous hen. Of course it
doesn't help that he did get free twice while I was at work. But he ran
to the neighbors to visit his buddies Patches and Maggie so he was
okay. I know that he needs to learn to listen and stay with us and I'm
annoying everyone by jumping on the door to keep him in and safe but I
can't help it. I'm so afarid he'll get hurt! And of course I'm
terrified to learn to drive. Specifically I find it hard to believe
it's as easy as people claim. I so don't have any confidence in my
ability to learn to drive. *sigh* Well at aeast these issues have kept
me from thinking about my fear of death. But I really wish I could just
chill and not be such a jumpy bugger.
Well as soon as Joey gets
home from NJ (he's visitng his cousin) I'll get my camera and post some
recent pics of the new house and the set up. For now I'll leave you with:
Peek-a-boo! Jett can't find Ginger!

and
House on Rocky Hill

Well today I have some Admin stuff to do for Molly (she's paying me to
do some admin stuff remotely till she hires a new asst for the new
school) and help Franz assemble the Smith machine :)
Later!

| Finally Settled...Sorta |
[Saturday
July 29th, 2006 at 11:11am] |
|
Well we've got cable and phone at least. No, really we have the bascis
in place but we STILL have some stuff to clean out of the garage and
furniture to set up. It's a never ending process I tell ya!
Moving Day was STRESSFUL. With a capitol S. Good lord we have so much
shit! Whenever I'd get a few boxes in and think "Whew, we must be
almost done." I'd look around and see...well a full apt. Ugh. I have to
admit I was thinking like Buffy for a bit there. Ya know when she said
she sorta pictured college like a montage of studying and such? Yeah I
think I did that with packing. Though mine was a montage of packing,
giggling, eating pizza and drinking beer (moving people in movies
always seem to have cash on hand to treat their pals who they bribe to
help move them with pizza and beer LOL), and then surveying a neat
empty apt. Well truth be told, leaving still saw stuff in the apt. We
just couldn't fit anything else in the moving truck. DH and FIL had to
go back the next day but we lost some stuff due to the landlord
starting to throw stuff out. Not hugely important stuff though.
The pets were surprisingly good on the way here. I expected Jett to
winper and whine the whole way. Thankfully after 2 mins. of crying for
me, he went to sleep. Ginger meowed from her carrier the whole time. DH
and I were sniffling and stuffy the whle way because our allergies were
acting up big time. We pulled into our new driveway at 2am. It's pitch
balck here at that time. No street lights at all and very creepy. Plus
there are deeer and stuff running about so I'm very paranoid when we do
drive at night that we;ll hit something.
So we pull in at 2:30 nd right off the bat? My dingbat FIL runs over
the guiding pole for the driveway and almost drives the truck into the
ditch along the driveway (More on the lanscaping and driveway another
time as they both suck ass). Franz had to get oput and risk life and
limb to yell, "Stop!!!" and woke up the neighbor's dogs who barked
their heads off, waking our neighbors (who I later found out wakes up
at 4am to go to work every day) - welcome neighbors! LOL
The first few days were pretty boring but peaceful. Unpacking took up
quite a bit of time but I also took jett for walks around the
neighborhopod and revelled in the nature that is our new backyard, made
friendly with the neighbors (one who actually GAVE us a washer dryer
set they weren't using!) and rode around looking for places to shop for
essentials. There's a Super Walmart and KMart very close and a
supermarket, Subways, Radio Shack, Payless, Fashion Bug and Salvation
Army close by. Also an Animal Hospital is close by. The Walmart is HUGE
and gave everything from groceries with an amzing produce dept to a
hairdresser and vision place. Their chpoices for healthy food are so-so
besides produce though. Finding a large bag of brown rice was a lost
cause as was any oatmeal not processed to death. Their best deals tend
to be processed crap but they do have yogurt at veryday low prices of
50 cents for brands like Breyers and such. Clothes are cheap too. If I
had like 100 bux to spare I could probably buy a starter warrobe for
work. They had bras for $2.50!! LOL
Right now I'm terrified to see our electric bill as everything is
electric here and we just got a washer/dryer. Luckily the nights are
cool (but bug filled I am covered with mosquito bites!!) so we turn off
the A/C every night (the first night we stayed here we turned it on to
68 degrees like we would our home unti and froze out butts off) and
even a few days ahve been cool enough not to warrant it. Still we're
running on close to fumes and I've got to find work soon.
I do miss NYC quite a bit. I miss being able to stroll down the street
for a cup of joe and chat with the man down the street. I miss jumping
on the train to go anywhere I want. I miss streetlights! Most of all I
miss my mom and dad (shut up - you would too if you were this far - I'm
not a baby...wahh!) and my sister hms_harmony What I don't miss is our
cramped apt, the constant bug problem, our landlord refusing to help
with that, and working for that sucky non-profit.
Well today will be a busy day. We invited the neighbors for dinner so
we have to shop, clean and post for jobs. I'll post more on the house,
neighbors, job search and more.
Ciao!

A latte to the first person to guess where that quote is from.
Ha ha
Okay
day today. Went to work at the new school helping to get some stuff set
up. Got paid. Ch CHING! Pluis Molly made me a super strong lemonade and
vodka to sip whilst we went over the to do list for the school - yummm!
Coukdn't do that at the old school LOL
So my FIL sold our fridge
and stove today. We move Monday. Yeap that's 4 whole days without a
fridge or stove. Yeah I don't get the logic either.
I've been
waiting since last Friday for my last paycheck from Big Bad Non-Profir.
It was supposed to be in my account on Friday, 07/06. So I email them
and ask about it. FINALLY get an email back on Monday, all casual
saying it'd be done that day and asking if my bank account would be
closed for the move. No apology or explanation. Though i *I* owed them
money you can bet they'd be demanding it PRONTO if not sooner. I really
hate those assholes. Bet you dollars to donuts it's not there tomorrow.
Bastards.
So yeah, we finally got the certificate. Now starts
the frenzy tthat is packing and moving. We're shooting for Monday.
Hopefully nothing will come up in the mean time.
Exciting huh?

Snagged these from the very same gal,

Expressive, deep, and one of a kind.
You pull off "weird" well - hardly anyone notices. |
Cool one of my fave colors is Orange.
| You Are A Hazelnut Tree |
You're a charmer with a killer sense of humor.
You are very demanding, but you can also be very understanding.
No matter what, you always make a lasting impression - you're quite popular.
Passionate, you are an active fighter for social causes and politics.
In general, you are moody, honest, a perfectionist, and very sexual. |
So many things wrong with that on LOL waaaaaay off base somewhere out in left field!

You've got a wicked sense of humor. You're everyone's favorite IM buddy... at least today! |
Ummm ok LOL

Yeah no title today peeps (If there are any out there. Anyone out
there??? *cricket*). I'm too burnt and crumpled. Yeah I don't know what
that means either. The closest I could come up with is
"The Crazy Cat Lady Strikes Again or How Getting A Dog Made Me a Cat
Lover" . But that'd be too mean to my poor puppy is really not the
devil or even close come to think of it.
Today was one of the worst days ever. I felt all frazzled and stressed
and tired and poopy today. Got nothing from my list done and I'm sure
the dog picked up on all my residual stress by being extra barky and
nippy today. I keep thinking that I should find a way to deflect all
negative energy and bask in only positive, growing energy. Today I
think if I did that I would shrivel up and die. Because that's all I've
got baby. You want someone to whine, mope, be self involved and make
every situation about them? I'm your woman. Bleh. I've been trying to
be a more positive, supportive person but it's been HARD. So hard that
it makes me realize how negative I have become.
Here was the plan for the day:
1- Check in with the Big Bad Non-Profit re. my last payroll
2- Call up Unemployment to complete my app.
3- Pack a little
4- See my parents and hms_harmony
5- Work out
6-Walk Jett (of course)
7- Post my resume online some more
Here's what I DID today:
1-Woke up super later than I wanted (alarm set to 9:30 and actually got up at 12:30)
2-Got email from BBN-P and "the check is in the mail"
3-Ate brekky
4- Fought with hubby (AGAIN)
5-Acted like a whiney, stupid baby
6-Sulked
7-Watched "Saved" - very funny btw
8- Walked Jett several times
9-Read my blog roll and then sought out other blogs to <s>stalk</s> read
10-Too lazy and grumpy to do dishes or cook a nutritious meal so I ordered a pizza - WTG FATSO!
Full day huh?
Well I just got an email from someone giving me useful job links that
was too much of a dumb ass to find m yself so at least I can post my
resume online. I also saw the cute lil kittens that have been hanging
out in the alley near my place and feed tham so that was fun.
Great, now Ginger is taunting Jett by hanging out and staring at him
then smacking him when he gets close. Well I'm the one who wanted a
frickin zoo.
